The Government of the Czech Republic is inviting applications for its fully funded scholarship programme for the 2026/2027 academic year. The opportunity is open to Nigerians and nationals from 11 other developing countries to study at public universities in the Czech Republic.
This long-running scheme is part of the Czech Republic’s foreign development cooperation strategy. Since the late 1950s, over 20,000 foreign students have graduated from Czech universities under this initiative.

What the Scholarship Covers

Full tuition for selected programmes

Monthly stipend: CZK 16,000 for Bachelor’s & Master’s, CZK 17,000 for Doctoral students

Programmes taught in Czech or English, depending on applicant’s eligibility and choice

A one-year Czech language preparatory course for some applicants
