Kenya Airways and Safarilink partner to offer seamless safari experiences

Kenya Airways (KQ) and Safarilink Aviation have announced a new one-way codeshare partnership aimed at simplifying travel for international tourists heading to Kenya’s world-renowned safari destinations.

Effective immediately, travelers can now book both their international Kenya Airways flight and onward domestic connections with Safarilink on a single ticket. This partnership seamlessly links KQ’s extensive global network with Safarilink’s flights to nine airstrips in the Maasai Mara, as well as key locations such as Amboseli, Nanyuki, and Samburu.

The agreement is designed to streamline travel logistics, minimize delays, and make it easier for visitors to access remote regions that are crucial to Kenya’s conservation efforts and local economies. Safarilink’s fleet, featuring Cessna Caravans and Dash-8 aircraft, is well-equipped for short-haul routes to the country’s wilderness areas.

The move comes at a strategic time: leisure travel accounted for 44.2% of Kenya’s tourist arrivals in 2024. By improving connectivity, Kenya Airways and Safarilink are reinforcing Kenya’s status as a top safari destination and offering international tourists a faster, more convenient way to experience the country’s extraordinary natural beauty.
