Nigeria Tops Grenada Citizenship Applications in Q4 2025

Nigeria has emerged as the leading source of citizenship applications to Grenada in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2025, according to data from the Investment Migration Agency (IMA) of Grenada. Nigerians accounted for about 16 % of all citizenship-by-investment submissions received over the period — more than any other country.

Strong Demand for Grenadian Citizenship

During Q4 2025:

  • Nigeria led the table with the highest share of applications.

  • China followed in second place (12 %), with Iraq (9 %), the United States (7 %), and Pakistan (5 %) rounding out the top five origin countries for Grenada citizenship bids.

A range of other nations — including Egypt, India, Lebanon, Vietnam, Turkey, South Africa, and Syria — also featured among applicant countries, reflecting broad global interest in Grenada’s programme.

How the Citizenship-by-Investment Programme Works

Grenada’s Citizenship-by-Investment (CBI) programme allows qualified foreign nationals to obtain Grenadian citizenship by making an approved financial contribution. Most applicants choose from options such as:

  • Contributions to the National Transformation Fund (NTF), or

  • Approved real estate investments.

One of the major attractions of Grenadian citizenship is the mobility benefits it offers. Holders of a Grenadian passport enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to more than 140 countries and territories, including the Schengen Area and the United Kingdom — benefits that appeal to individuals seeking enhanced global travel and business flexibility.

Q4 Performance Highlights

  • In Q4 2025, Grenada received 128 citizenship applications and processed 161, with 154 approvals and seven denials.

  • During the same period, 99 new citizens were officially granted Grenadian nationality, bringing the year-to-date total to 1,124.

Why This Matters

Nigeria’s position at the top of the list highlights growing interest among Nigerians in second citizenship options — driven by factors such as global mobility, investment opportunities, and access to broader travel freedoms. At a time when global demand for citizenship-by-investment programmes remains strong, Grenada’s CBI scheme continues to be one of the most attractive pathways for applicants around the world.
